It's official. My capacity for what one man can do has been exceeded. Actually, it was probably exceeded long ago but I've been forcing myself to work 12-15 hour days for the past several months because I am determined to make Quinn's Dog Running the best business I can by always offering a high level of service to each and every client. If that means taking a few extra minutes with a dog so they can check out a new smell or catching up with my clients after an appointment, I'm always trying to go the extra mile (pun intended, obviously). On many days, I'm covering more than a marathon distance (26.2 miles) with a slate of appointments that would be daunting to the most seasoned runner.
So, with that in mind, I now have two Wooster High School students helping me with my dog exercise appointments and no fewer than five house / pet sitters on standby if my workload is too burdensome. I've been blessed to be surrounded by some wonderful people in my life, and I am so grateful that they will get to share in some of the love of my clients' animals that I get to feel on a daily basis. Work / life balance is something I haven't had much of lately, but I'm looking forward to a fun summer of doing a couple of races, one being a "Last Man Standing" race (www.facebook.com/Bobs-Big-Timber-Backyard-Ultra-A-Last-Man-Standing-Event-2248285288785150/) and the Tuscazoar 100 Miler (www.race-brimstone.com/tuscazoar-100). I haven't ran in a real race since May of 2021, a little 5K fundraiser in which I ran an abysmal 18:56 time and came in second place after the guy that won was just using me to draft the whole time and passed me at the end (many lessons learned there). Now that I've got some good help, I can properly train and taper and take it seriously. Please check out my Staff page and scroll down past my bio to see my high school runners - they are eager and excited to help your dog(s) have a great adventure!!! Also, I am making a concerted effort to start expansion, so if you or someone you know has a dog and lives in Medina or Wooster, please send them my way so I can customize a plan for them and get their dog the exercise they need and deserve!
